leather blackjacks and saps
Just wondering if anybody has researched the actual legality of carrying blackjacks and saps in AL. I am aware of the reference to "slungshot"Ā ...
I got a bag of bad shot (partially melted and unformed 8 shot) and decided to make a couple three of leather saps. I want to see what you got forĀ ...

leather blackjacks and saps Ive always wanted one, and I figure with my CCW, I would have one with me without it being an issue.
There were a couple of brothers who were making and selling very nice saps and black-jacks over on EDC Forums a while back.
One of the brothers made me a nice, solid little black-jack about a year and a half ago.
Check out EDC and do a search, or ask some questions about them on the site.
They're all nice folks over there.
Oh, and don't assume that a sap or jack is legal just 'cause you have a CCW.
Check your state laws.
They've been outlawed in many places.
I was wondering if anybody here could point me in the proper direction as to finding somebody who makes good customs Saps.
Ive always wanted one, and I figure with my CCW, I would have one with me without it being an leather blackjacks and saps />Well I stand corrected, I could have sworn he had no location listed and mentioned Florida as an example of a state that allowed it.
That's what happens when you post at 5:20 in the morning without sleeping.
Well I stand corrected, I could have sworn he had no location listed this web page mentioned Florida as an example of a state that allowed it.
what is means by counting card in blackjack what happens when you post at 5:20 in the morning without sleeping.
I wouldn't care but Money bet blackjack real don't believe the Nevada CCW covers "other" weapons, just the specific guns listed on the holders permit.
But I haven't gotten my CCW and he apparently does.
So perhaps I'm ignorant on the facts.
The letter of the CCW statute in most states makes no mention of knives, saps, etc.
In theory a prosecuter could stand up in front of a judge and say, "We don't mind the large-capacity 9mm semiautomatic pistol he was carrying, that was perfectly legal.
Howdy fellow Las Vegan.
Ive heard you can carry, but quite honestly, I just want a nice Sap.
My father leather blackjacks and saps Law Enforcement in Santa Monica, Ca, and he had his old Gonzales sap that he carried back when it was legal.
Even if I couldnt professional blackjack, Id just like to have a nice custom one.
Thanks everybody for your help so far.
I've never considered carrying a sap.
After reading the info in this thread, I may of just sparked a new collectable interest.
Thanks for all the excellent info.

click but when does logic have to go into a legal argument?
Perusing a website about Nevada CCW outlined only the pistols the applicant applied leather blackjacks and saps as allowed.
Now if saps are illegal I don't know or if he has a long knife there are leather blackjacks and saps restrictions here, 3 inches in Vegas I believe then why couldn't a prosecutor argue for a weapons violation?
We have three branches of government in this country, and three kinds of law: the statute law the legislative branch enacts, the bureaucratic law the executive branch chooses to try to apply, and the case law as ruled by the courts.
The letter of statute law, if you were to interpret it literally and try to apply it to all the situations that come up, is often ridiculous, but that's only one third of the law.
Jim March used to talk about the "giggle test.
Can a prosecuter stand up in court and make the charge without giggling?
Can a judge listen to it without giggling?
Can the local news team report it without giggling?
Can 12 randomly chosen citizens, three appeals courts judges, nine Supreme Court justices -- if anybody giggles at any step along the way it's all off.
Ah Jim March, there's a name I haven't heard in forever.
Here in KY, we have a CCDW permit, for Concealed Carry of Deadly Weapons.
Knife, sap, billy club, rocket launcher, doesn't matter.
If you have the CCDW you are good.
I should explain for the leather blackjacks and saps members Jim March was an active member here and first moderator of Go here in the early days of Bladeforums.
Currently he is working so hard for the leather blackjacks and saps to keep and bear arms that he has no time to hang out here any more, but his old posts can still be read in the archives.
It's got references to a few good products you should be able to contact people about.
Thank you, now I want one more.
Really beautiful work, leather blackjacks and saps it seems the maker cant read article reached.
